I think I'd like to make something really stark in the style of Plakatstil (German for "poster style").

Here is a sketch in the spirit of @ninastoessinger's dailies from typecooker recipes. I didn't follow it, but once I drew a pilcrow I wanted to finish the word.

Here is my latest linocut. I designed this one; it isn't based on or supposed to represent any particular typeface.

I really like ball terminals, so there's one of those. I'm also fond of the upturning tail of the Playbill capital 'R', which is evident.

Note to self: buy good block printing paper and take photos in daylight.

EDIT:

On the advice of an actual typographer, Mark Simonson, I've thinned the top arm at the junction and given it a proper top serif. I'm still not pleased with the dog bone bottom serif, however.
